About Us                                                                                   

We love to celebrate. We spare no energy or enthusiasm and leave no area untouched that can be used as part of a festivity.  Our goal is to celebrate with you and regard your event as if it were our own. Our passion for devising delicious menus, fabulous presentation, serving others, and enjoying creative ways to party led us to open Fechers’ Panache – Catering, Cakes & Carry-Out. Panache means “dashing elegance of manner or style.” Panache Catering is family owned and operated and it is our hope that our family’s style becomes known as one of Richmond’s premiere catering and event planning services.  It is also our desire that our vim and verve is contagious so that you enjoy your event as much as we do!

Kitchen Location and Hours

Our office hours are Monday-Friday 10-4 or by e-mail. If we are unavailable due to catering or an edible work of art, or you are calling outside of these hours, please feel free to leave a message or email us at info@fecherspanache.com. We will return your call just as soon as possible to assist you! Our walk-in hours are:

Thursday-Friday 9am-4pm

Saturday 9am-Noon unless a catering event calls us away.

Again, if we have to make a delivery, the kitchen may have to close temporarily; we apologize for any inconvenience. We make every effort to have someone available to serve you!

How and When to Order

Any weekend orders must be placed by 4pm Wednesday.

For basic Celebration Cakes (sheet cakes & 8” rounds, desserts or party platters please allow 48 hours but the earlier the better. We are a small staff so if we are heavily booked, we have to turn down even a small order. We make every effort to accommodate your last-minute needs.

 

For Event Cakes such as Wedding or Anniversary Cakes, Catering, fundraisers or large orders, we recommend allowing at least 3 months. Some events are booked a year ahead of time and bookings are first come, first serve. We understand some corporate catering does not allow for that much notice. The more notice you can give us the better, but we will do our best to be of service.

All orders are prepaid: catering and event cakes, 50% deposit w/ signed contract then final payment 3 days before event; celebration cakes, party platters, desserts, etc. paid at time of ordering. We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express and can take your information by phone.

 

Presentation                                                                                          

Our menu items are prepared fresh and served in lovely chafers, platters, baskets and serviceware. We provide tablecloths for the buffet tables and/or food stations. This is all included in our set-up and clean-up fee. Disposable serviceware is also available for a more casual presentation. We can also provide plates and eating utensils for a nominal charge of $1 per person.

 

Delivery                                                                        

Fechers’ Panache offers delivery to Wayne County and outlying areas. We charge a delivery fee of $10 for Richmond deliveries and $15 in Wayne County outside of Richmond city limits. Deliveries outside of Wayne County incur a mileage fee of $1.25 per round trip mile.

 

Cancellation Policy

In order to receive 50% deposit for Catering and Event Cakes,

Cancellations must be made 2 weeks prior to event; 4 weeks in December. All other orders require 48 hours notice. Even a simple cake takes 2 days to prepare as we bake your cakes and make your icing fresh! We appreciation your understanding.

 

Do you cater on Sundays?

Fechers’ Panache is closed on Sundays and we do not accept catering orders for that day. However, most of our menu items can be picked up on Saturday and will hold up nicely until Sunday. We don’t recommend holding sandwiches over for the next day so we offer a “make your own” buffet which would suit this need. We are always happy to assist you in planning a menu to fit your needs.

Staff & Terms                                                      

Server charges: $15/hour, minimum of 4 hours ~ buffet/station set up,  food prep & heat up, if needed, clear guest tables, buffet clean-up, packaging leftovers. Table setting service also available.

Event Manager charges: $25/hour, minimum 4 hours ~ Coordinates with other purveyors (i.e. florist, D.J., rentals, etc.),  oversees and assists servers, set ups, table setting, and clean up.

If food orders are picked up from our kitchen, you are responsible for returning all equipment.

Custom-created Events & Service  

We will help you plan your menu and arrange the style of service that will shape your event into a memorable occasion for you and your guests:

 

Butler-Style Reception~ Butlered trays of Hors D’Ouvres will be filled and served by our trained staff; one server per 20-25 guests. (Exception – Stationary Displays cannot be served Butler-style).

 

Hors D’Ouvres Stations~ Your menu selections may be picked up OR Delivered and Set up. A different table for each selection or assortment is situated in different locations in the reception area. One server per 60 guests.

 

Buffet, Assisted ~ Your menu selections will be Delivered and Set up, restocked and served. One server per 40 guests.

 

Buffet, Self-service ~ Your menu selections may be picked up OR Delivered and Set up. One server per 60 guests.

 

Plated, sit-down dinner, formal~ One server per 10 guests.

 

Plated, sit-down dinner, informal~ One server per 20-25 guests.
